Indian mobile manufacturer Karbonn is planning to launch devices running the recently announce Android 4.1 Jelly Bean .

The company revealed in media interaction earlier today that it plans to release an Android 4.1 smartphone and a tablet in September this year.

According to the company , a smartphone running Jelly Bean which will be dubbed A25 and will sport a 4.5 inc display will be released . There is plan to launch a Jelly Bean based tablet as well which will have a 9.7 inch display as well, which will be priced around Rs .11000 .

Indian manufactures are doing great in Android sector :) Good to know that. I have never tried any of them (not even funbook by MMX) but I hope they are / will be as good as International brands such as Asus.
 
They seriously need to increase the RAM, 512MB is just not enough (generally it is 512MB in all these Indian Smartphones and tabs)
 
hoping the screen is good and doesn't wash out !!

Actually the 9.7 panels are made by LG are ips and sold at throwaway prices to OEMs...
The major thing.. The brightness levels and saturation is lower than the ipad models..
Might be non -conforming ipad panels...(Actually a very good panel if you see alone....)
so sure it is going to be great...
My worry battery life....& software to use 4:3 screen...

FYI Many chinese branded tablets are using the panels...
teclast, Eken, Ainol, onda etc....
