Security Software Kaspersky PURE - Your take ?

Hi ..

I have been using KAV for 2 years now...

seeing PURE features.. i am thinking whether i should use it..

So any PURE users please advice .. is it resource hungry ? and how is the performance ?

I am really bothered with the resource ... I am ok with KAV 2010 ... resource usage ...

Do you have original Windows OS if yes look at their proprietary Microsoft Security Essentials, it is a free alternative and pretty good, if you have original Windows XP, Vista or 7
 
KIS and PURE, both contain the security features, while PURE just contains some extra other features (such as backup, password manager tool etc). If you're not interested in the extra features of Kaspersky PURE then there's no reason to choose it. Otherwise go with PURE, its not a resource hog.

Nope. One of my friend is using it. The thing is if you're interested in those extra features of Kaspersky PURE then go with it. Otherwise, KIS is good to go. :)
 
i read the links ..

it seems pure is based on kis 2010 engine .. so detection rate is not that effective it seems...

so will go for 2011 KIS ... or when a newer pure gets released... any suggestions guys ?
