another short and nifty tutorial frm me

first create a new folder somewhere on your hard drive
when you name it hold down "Alt" and press "0160" this will create and invisible space so it will apper as if it has no name.
then right click in and select "Properties" select the tab "costumize" and select "change icon" scroll along and you should a few blanc spaces click on any one and click ok when you hav saved the settings the folder will be invisible to hide all your personal files

The 1060 is giving me "$"..

the ascii value for null is 255 ie...ALT+255

btw..this method can be broken by anyone with even a lil sense of computer knowlege..

when u choose the detail view in the explorer u see the properties of the folder...so people know something is there...this is not protected from search/

Press ctrl+ a & it will be selected...

but this is still usefull for certain occasions i suppose..;)

I have been using Alt+255 for hiding my Desktop icons for years and years ... since the time the first version of Windows was released ... even today my Desktop does not have a single icon showing - there is only one invisible folder on the desktop with no icon and a name of Alt+255 :D
