Thanks everyone for the help by reporting posts. 
We warned a lot of people and noticed that some are serial offenders.
From Monday 21st onwards we will start giving infractions of 5 points each with 10 day expiry. Do remember that 10 points means a ban.
Please don't create a fuss if you are infracted or banned. Understand that keeping the forums clean is in everyone's interest, including yours.

And on a similar note I think we should be giving Negative Rep along with infraction. An infraction just expires with time but a negative rep always plays a part.

It is sad that this post was not reported by anyone. It is a prime example of a useless post that does not add any value to the discussion. Frankly such users should not be allowed to post at all and if it takes banning them then be it.
You post is not a voting tool. If you want to recommend something then you should have at least one reason to support that.

Don't get me wrong but I guess there needs to be some new and younger blood in the mod team. We don't have (m)any younger guys being dedicated like some of us used to be back then, but maybe a little bit of bonding/mentoring won't harm. Bikey did it. I did it. Few people do it. Its something that is needed to run any forums.
Again, don't get me wrong sometimes mods do put up that "corporate" personality in certain posts they make. Works with companies, not with communities such as this.

Zedge.net has this 'SiteGuard Team' Badge program where regular and responsible members are given badges.
The members who have the badges have the responsibility of maintaining the forums clean. They obviously work under the Mods and Admins and if the Badge holders themselves misbehave, their badges are revoked.
It definitely works. People feel more responsible and in turn they make others feel more responsible!!
