Back to some light gaming and i see a Killzone 3 beta which works offline anyone tried ?

Killzone 3 Single Player Demo Lands Feb. 15

Just after you have gone through the online multiplayer demo for Killzone 3, you will be able to experience the next installment in the series’ single player campaign mode when the Killzone 3 single-player demo lands on the PlayStation Network February 15 (Feb. 16 for Europe). For PS Plus subscribers, however, the demo will be available on February 8.

Two downloads will be available, one in 2D and one in 3D, but both will feature the ‘Icy Incursion’ level from the game, which shows up in the final build around halfway through the campaign. However, the 2D version contains splitscreen co-op, so those who haven’t bought a 3D TV yet still get a treat.

Move functionality is also included in the demo, but no matter which way you play, Guerrilla Games is excited for players to test out the game’s new control system, as it has been ‘tightened’ up since Killzone 2.

cant wait for this game really.the stand out game of february.this will be my first real attempt at a fps:D.can anyone give me a link of a nice preorder deal:P

Played the MP offline-only beta. There are 3 maps in the game - 2 warzone maps - Corinth highway and Frozen dam and a Guerilla warfare map - Frozen dam. Bot difficulty can be chosen between recruit, trooper, veteran & elite. I chose recruit and managed to get a few shots and headshots but still got my ass whooped! AI is classic KZ style - very challenging.

Not much has been changed from the KZ2 MP - same career modes - engineer, marksman, tactician, infiltrator, field medic. Primary and secondaries can be chosen depending on specific career modes with standard issue explosives. Skill is an added option here with armor, extra primary weapon, extra ammo and extra health - the player is benefited with the relevant skill. Turrets can be deployed in the map and so can flying bots which will hunt down the opposition party.

Level design is amazing - frozen lands, abandoned buildings, dams etc. The developers have paid attention even to the minutest details here. For instance, rusted pipes underground, flowing water forming vortices etc. Close-combat system has been improved over the last title - melee attacks are now more brutal and even combos can be pulled off while dealing melee!

Few lags where noticeable when stepping out in the harsh snowy weather but settles down otherwise. I am mighty impressed. The campaign is going to be super fun when it comes!

Over and out!

Don't know about you, but anything rated above 8 is a darn good score in my books. It's not like you wouldn't be playing this game, even if it was rated a 6.5.

BE DAMNED WITH THE REVIEW SCORES !!!

They are all M$ licker....You like the game, you PLAY IT !!!

Andy, you're hired for the next anti-MS/360 campaign. ;)

I was expecting a good score considering how KZ2 was rated/

WTF Campaign is just 4.5 hours long

Being a 4.5 hour campaign isn't always a bad thing. Vanquish was a blast in it's relatively short campaign and it didn't even have multi-player to cash in on, KZ3 does. Besides, you can always increase the difficulty level a bit.

Wow a 41 odd GB game and to top it all a relatively small campaign! Sweet.
