So, the Kindle Oasis has been announced. This is the successor to the likes of Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Voyage. Pre-orders are already open, and the device is expected to release on April 27th.
Oasis (Wifi) costs Rs.24K. The Wifi + 3G version will make you 28K poorer. That is a pretty huge jump when compared to the much successful Paperwhite, especially considering that the device as a whole adds very little to the actual reading experience. It does have a new deign, and a leather cover that doubles as external battery too, but the display is pretty much similar to the earlier devices.
