Do u guys remember a genre named as adventure gaming. This was more often than not for people in the dos-era as well as little bit in the window's era. It gradually lost ground to the FPS & RTS & other genres of gaming. One of these adventure games which made to the cult status was King's Quest. The makers of King's Quest were Vivendi & people were never happy with what Sierra Entertainment (formerly Vivendi) did hence there were unofficial ports & stuff they did. To cut the long story short people played till King Quest's 8 & gamers who liked it wanted King's Quest 9. There was a mass signature campaign around May 2k5 last yr. when gamers wrote to the franchisee/developer expressing their dis-satisfaction with Sierra for closing down the game. This resulted in flurry of activity & now there is a site called as the Silver Lining there are also couple of journal entries as well as Press releases which tells about some of the history as well as what to expect in the future. The game is being developed by Phoenix Online Studios & the screenshots can be seen here.
