hmmm... i guess this new thread wasnt that necessary.. well neway after googling for almost 4 hrs i finally found a solution and it works...
for those who has same probs as me... copy this attached file in ur
C:\WINDOWS\inf folder or if u got a winXp cd ... search for USBSTOR.IN_ and USBSTOR.SY_ and copy those as well in the \inf folder... donno which one worked but i copied all 4 of em in that folder and it just worked...:hap2:
The usb shows as drive G: Won't format.
I've tried this and it still won't work! I took the usb drive and formatted on another computer. Now it doesn't appear as a drive anymore. VISTA is a load of "CRAP"!!:huh:

hi there...i tried evr and nth works...my usb storage device is a kingston 8gb datatraveller, white/black, and my OS windows 7 64bit....well it used to work, but all of a sudden and after lending it to a friend it asked me to format it, otherwise it wouldn't load....i started format, but could not finish....i cancelled...started...nth...
i decided to make a quick format and it was formatted but kept some minimum space...anyway, i still could not make a full format so i left it working like this, with 9mb kept for system which in not a big deal!!
next day i plugged it and since then device is not recognized, nowhere, i have tried on vista 32bit, xp 32-bit...NTH!!! device is not recognized...i tried many ways, also this way here with usbstor files to inf folder...nth...:(:(:(:(
