"For all sales made within TE, the nature of the items and any disputes arising out of the sale of the item inclusive of damage, quality and transportation issues, monetary loss etc., are sole responsibility of the DEALERS and participating MEMBERS. They are expected to solve any such issues independently by themselves. TE or its staff are in no way responsible for it and will not entertain any communication in this regard. However, you can rate a deal or DEALER as good or bad using the facility mentioned in (7) above. TE shall not be liable in any way."

If that is the case then why did the Mods intervene whem amarbir did similar things??

^^ At the most we can PM him to respond to the issue. BTW TE had not ousted Amarbir, he exited himself. KMD did have a good reputation behind him, so we will not take any decision in a haste.

Aces - all we're asking for is some help. It would, for example, be great if the mods can help investigate the issue and PM KMD. I personally think a PM from a mod will help wake up, what seems to be as of now, a sleeping dealer.

He did have a good reputation behind him, so how is it now??

and why should it take members to open threads for Feedback when the Mods don't want to reply.

I cant remember the Mods not replying when amarbir was ousted.

All I want to know is how can you help us??

Its been done a couple of times, and he has cleared a few trades. Thats the most we can do. There are a couple of items that are stuck for the mods too, at the most we can PM him. I can ask Eddy to call him, but it hadnt helped earlier. I have asked KMD to keep you guys updated here.

Even my order is pending delivery for a month. It is indeed extremely painful to wait for a product that you have paid 13K+ rupees and haven't received it for a month. Granted, it is being shipped from the US, but a month is too long a period. 2-3 weeks, you can be patient. Anything more than that - it changes to frustration and worry.

I am worried. Really worried.

I know KMD may be having issues with shipments, but I wish the dealer realized what the members are going through. It is not about 10 or 100 rupees. There are thousands of rupees of hard earned money involved. At least regular updates on the threads will greatly help to put our minds at relative ease.

Paid an amount of 33k for the ordered items. Last reply I received from him was that most of the items have arrived and the remaining would reach him at the end of the week(Last week) . Had ordered from him before and even though it wasn't delayed this much, I still have faith in him.

I have a 9k order pending with him. I'm sure he'll deliver, it's just that he should keep us updated on what's happening.

Well my order's were delayed a few times but delay is unavoidable in logistics, i did transactions of substantial amounts with him in the past without any issues.

Guys, the issue is not about the delay - it's about the lack of updates and presence on the thread. It's a responsiveness issue. Once you accept a deal and state certain terms (in my case, that the product would be here in two weeks), it is incumbent on the dealer to inform in case of any delay.

With any luck, by the time the things arrive, I shall have no use for them any more. Cables, for example, are a pretty urgent need as they are required (surprise, surprise) to connect existing pieces of equipment. Of course, I cannot expect to wait forever to connect said equipment, so I have already made a duplicate purchase here for some of the items - who will compensate me for that? KMD? Fat chance.

I needed network adapters to connect up a friend's PCs at home. I can wait - he couldn't, so the market section will see those adapters, not us - and there's a potential loss there as well. The problem is the complete silence and unresponsiveness - and I have it on reasonable faith that

1) Most dealers on TE are incurring extremely long delays in procuring orders and fulfilling them - specially for GOs. While this is acceptable and understandable, I see that most are reactive (respond to prodding by members who have paid) rather than proactive (informing buyers the moment there is a delay) - they're not magicians, fair point, but they can keep users informed.

2) Mods cannot/will not do anything beyond PMing the dealer and asking him for a status - which means dealer is secure even if he delays orders or fails to complete them.

So for a dealer, there is, in that sense, no hanging sword - they are paying members of the site, so inappropriate behaviour is tolerated:) I expect a rebuttal of this point, btw - and I know there are exceptions to the rule (KMD himself was one such exception, no more apparently).

The beef that everyone has is that KMD has, in a sense, gone internet dark and his entire outfit seems to be simply sleeping, at least from our point of view. The absence of any publicly available telephone number and brick-and-mortar address complicates the issue, so basically as of today the order is in a black hole with no status and no update, and no authoritative ETA. It is all in the air - I don't even know what the progress on the order is - has it been ordered? Is it in the US? India? Has it cleared customs? Is it waiting for a full moon night to be despatched?

I have also ordered many times from KMD. What surprises me is that he was always a plug-and-play guy - order, pay and three weeks later, the product was on your doorstep. The last GO he did that I was part of was the Vantec docks, and it was here in one week, similar with a large bunch of stuff a few years ago for my gaming rig. I have plenty of good stories about KMD deals - but not this time.

I am from Kolkata.I have 4 deals with KMD , that all went well .Last deal was with a GFX Card , that was ordered on 16-May-2010 on Newegg and I received it on 04-June-2010 .More or less acceptable. That time he replied to my PM regularly , I think he is one of the best dealer in TE , and deals with something which others can not .

I agree , that now he is not as active as he was , but still he is a dealer we can depend on.

Thanks.

don't praise him if you do right now his service will never improve

he has been slow since 29th September 2009, delayed everything I needed urgently & I suffered a 2k loss in my sale

10 months is enough time to fix issues

I hope he starts losing customers

I think you have pretty much nailed it there.
But i would want to specificly attract/direct attention to the Point(highlighted) mentioned by Cranky regarding GOs. GOs are purely Dealer driven initiative(except Monoprice). So here the entire onus of the deal lies with the Dealer. So once the payment is made before the date mentioned in the GO people expect a the Goods to be delivered within the timeframe specified by the Dealer/Vendor. Incase there is a delay the we expect status updates on the ETA. Is this too much to ask?

Also i request the Mods to contemplate regarding implementing some guidelines regarding GOs wrt to Delivery Timeframe.
Something on lines of Dealer Status dependent on the Ratio of Sucessfull to unsucessfull GOs.
Next Day Compelete Refund initiation incase of delays if deemed unacceptable by the customer.

From what i can see here is that most of the Dealers are taking the members for Granted. I mean if we experience a Delay in delivery of products can we give the dealer a Negative rating? Then can these ratings be consolidated quaterly to determine if a dealer if fit to operate in the market section or not.

We are looking into some mechanism where dealers would have to clear backlogs before being able to take in new orders. Please do make full use of the iTrader system , we would probably incorporate something where if it drops below a certain % we would take some sort of countermeasure. There is no use complaining on the forum and then seeing that person have a 100% iTrader rating.
