What's with all the selective love towards the guy? It is very typical of us Indians - being accommodative towards someone whom we perceive as good. Fact is, he has erred big time, and we should all acknowledge that and act accordingly. Didn't he make his profit of all you well wishers too? Just because he got you nice toys you are all so :cupidon:. C'mon, the guy isn't doing his thing right. He doesn't have a scalable business model, but at the same time charges a premium. Wake up and smell the coffee!
I am not advocating hate, but business is business. If there are so many disgruntled customers, then I'd say let's come to a common consensus to ban him or something . And to illustrate an example of how business minded he is - I had a case where the first DVD in my Taiyo Yuden spindle was damaged due to poor packaging from his side. I asked him for a replacement, which he was ready to give, but if I paid for shipping! As for me, I have used his services and never found it to be great. His rates are high, he is not very communicative, and finally doesn't own up to his mistakes.
In a purely capitalist country like the States, businessmen like KMD won't survive a day - purely based on public opinion. But here, in spite of the facts staring at us we are divided on the opinion of whether he's running his business right and still give him benefit of doubt. He may have been the first to give us a chance to buy stuff from the US, but today there are other companies/individuals. So why isn't better competition forcing him to close or improve? Cos we are so tolerant as a community! And remember - no KMD or ICCworld can change the fact that Indian Customs dept is a Government office. It is up to us, as customers to realize this. His reasons for delay may be genuine, but aren't we paying extra for him to do the dirty work at the customs?
