Guys i wanna buy a digital camera with a budget of 12k.

Heard the new 8.1 mp Kodak Z8612. Howz this camera and pls advice which is best in this category.

First see if you really need 12x optical zoom? Unless doing sports/wildlife photography, its not recommended, + the bulky size :P

Personally, I prefer Canon for better quality, never found a kodak I liked yet :P

Check out online reviews first.
 
Go for Kodak Z1012 IS instead. It has a slightly bigger sensor and it has an HD video mode. Plus the zoom starts at a much better 32mm instead of 36mm on the Z8612 IS.
