I have my internet connection routed through the gateway(server) via a 10/100mbps LAN...And I use some 10rupees/meter cables..which I dont know exactly are Cat5e or not??But I came to know that cables do affect bandwidth...so please advise which cables,,cat5e or other..and specifically which company's cables to use for the same..And how much would they cost on per meter basis..I dont want to spend more,,but I want descent ones!!!

Not sure about the cost, but I recall D-Link cables being available for 15 or 16 bucks a meter. There's probably other brands out there which are good too. I've never had to go out and buy cables separately. The one which came with my gateway is enough since I only have one wired PC.
