just yesterday i renewed my internet connection.it was working fine the first day.....but today it caused a strange and confusing problem.

When i enable my LAN connection, the computer reboots.

The LAN card that i have rite now is external.i also have an onboard etherent port.i then checked using that too.........still the same problem repeats itself.......

Now, the solution that i found to this was also weird.

First,i unplugged the LAN cable from the LAN Card. Then, i enabled my LAN Connection which showed me the "Network Cable unplugged" error. After which i plugged my LAN cable back and then there was no reboot.

In simple words the problem is, i can't enable my LAN Connection with my LAN cable plugged in......i have to follow the above procedure...........

Now.........i want some solution to this strange problem:@ :( ........ so that i can enable my LAN connection without having to follow the above procedure..........its really causing my PC a lotta trouble.......:(

Please help ?????????

I had the same problem, cleaned up the LAN card became ok, problem reoccurred a couple of months later, had to toss the card and get a new one.
