hey guys,
i am using windows vista x64.
In my bldng we hv our local wired LAN on which we chat using Ichat , share movies songs and play LAN games using local IP address (i.e. IP is 192.168.0.x and subnet mask is 255.255.255.0) on each machine and workgrp is same on each machine.
But the problem is .. i cant see d other computers name on my vista machine neighter i can play LAN games. I cant see d server on LAN while others can.
Others can share movies and play games on LAN. They have windows XP installed on der machine.
I checked all possible settings on my Vista x64 machine.
I made tat network private so tat i can view all d machines..made network discovery ON .. i installed IPX/SPX protocol seperately but all not working out.
Wen i install XP all works fine.
Wat is d problem with Vistax64 ??? I disbaled d firewall for tat particular local network. Set it to home. but still not working.
I heard tat LAN doesnt work in Vista x64.
Is it true ???
