Installed a 6700xt and the LAN port is not working I have a MSI B660 motherboard and i5 12500f cpu on win 10. I see that it is common problem after googling but no solutions mentioned. Anyone else faced this?

Try onboard graphics and check. If its working working it means there's some conflict with amd gpu.

Try with a different gpu if available or try to Power off the computer, remove the GPU, and reseat it firmly in the PCIe slot.

Copied from chatgpt:-

Reset the network adapter:-
- Open the Settings app, go to Network & Internet > Status > Network reset, and click the Reset button.
- This will reset the network adapter and may resolve the issue.

Reinstall network adapter drivers:
- Uninstall the current network adapter drivers from Device Manager.
- Restart the computer and let Windows automatically reinstall the drivers.
- If that doesn't work, download the latest drivers from the motherboard manufacturer's website and install them manually.

Check BIOS settings:
- Enter the BIOS and ensure that the onboard LAN controller is enabled.
- Save changes and exit the BIOS.

Try a different PCIe slot:
- If your motherboard has multiple PCIe slots, try installing the GPU in a different slot to rule out a faulty slot.

If none of these solutions work, the issue may be related to a hardware failure, such as a faulty network adapter or motherboard.

Reboot in safe mode with networking, and see if the ethernet adapter works.

Was this GPU replacing an nvidia GPU? Did you run DDU before installing the AMD drivers?

Yes it replaced an Nvidia, did not run ddu. The Lan card does not show up anywhere.
I did DDU in safe mode and network reset, does not work. I have a PCIe WIFI card whci works, i am using for internet now, the Lan port is gone, does not show in windows.
Flashed latest bios, not fixed

Did device manager shows anything not installed properly ?

Likely because it's a hardware fault — something broke because of the physical stresses on the motherboard during the GPU swap/install.

If the network adapter works after reinstalling your previous GPU, then it's a software issue but otherwise you'll need to buy a usb or PCIe adapter for ethernet.

Anything showing under network devices.....
Check all possible things in device manager....share snaps...
What check and trouble shooting you've done till now?

LAN port shows up in hidden items in device manager. Does not show up anywhere else. I have enable LAN related settings in bios, connected two seperate power cables pcie instead of one split cable for GPU.
