What will be your primary usage for the notebook be?

According to ur options..
apart from Asus..non of the above comes with a Dedicated Graphics Memory!
if u r going to use maya or auto cad, then a Dedicated Graphics card is a must..tht too at the least with 1GB!
 
And does any one know how much it will cost to upgrade + 2 gb DDR 3 ram for a Asus K Series Laptop!?

also how is Asus...> sales after service in kerala!!
 
A few weeks ago, I got myself a new laptop. Main requirement was Dedicated Graphics card because of the 3D modelling work I have to do on the move... Got a Samsung RV518 with Core i3, 15.6" screen, 3 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD, 1 GB NVidia 520M (or 410M, don't recall) GPU for 29k at a local shop in Hyderabad... Similar deals were on Letsbuy and Flipkart for almost same amount... (Later found out Letsbuy deal was cheaper than local shop)

can u pls confirm following ..>> how is maya nd zbrush working on it...

I use Sketchup regularly for complex drawings, and it works quite well... Have also tested Need for Speed Most Wanted at full settings... works perfectly...

But built quality leaves much to be desired... My 2 year old Sony Vaio is much better and faster, although technically it has an older graphics card and processor (1st generation i3 with 310M graphics)

Also, I hate the trackpad on Samsung... Very cheap quality...

Other than that, I had problems on Photoshop with large files. Hangs a lot... Never had that problem on Vaio using the same files..

But its a good bargain. The graphics card is NVidia dedicated 1 GB memory card... Most probably 520M...

Technically, the specs are higher. The price is right...

I had seen 4 GB DDR3 1333 MHz Laptop RAM chips on flipkart for Rs 1200... Look'em up...
