I was planning to buy a one at diwali. But yesterday my asus ee pc netbook went kaput.
I am not sure what features i really want. Plz have a look and help me.
I am typing from mobile so forgive me for any typos.
What's your Budget? 35000 rs. But i can increase it to 45000 or more but 50 k is my limit.want a vfm product.
What will be your primary usage for the notebook be? web surfing/office apps/Casual Gaming. Torrent downloading.
It should be able to run all latest games in low settings atleast. Call of dty: modern warfare in full settings. 1080 p blue ray rip movies should play smoothly. TOugh keyboard for extensive typing. Will read daily pdf files on laptop.
So it should be easy on eyes.
Also screen matte and more brightness. I am expecting some occasional outdoor usage in daylight. Speaker qualitu not matters as i will use either earplugs or ecternal speakers.
screen size 17" is too big and 12" is too small.
I5 or i7 with gpu and 4- 8 gb ram and 4 hour battery.
Optical drive not required. Instead would like to get ultrabook type looks. ATleast one usb 3.0 port. Vga and hdmi out port. and lan and wifi bgn.
Planning to try to triple boot it. WIndows 8.1 + macintosh + ubuntu. Do not suggest me use vmware or similar.
HDD.Either i get 128 gb ssd or 1 tb internal. Open for other possibilities too. If i can replace my hdd with ssd easily myself. Means design should be such that ram and hdd are upgradeable by users.
Atleast one oomph factor. Which can be show- off to friends like looks or touchscreen or performance or other..
I will mostly buy onlone from flopkart or snapdeal.. But i can also visit nehru palace in delhi.. 100 km from my home.
Warranty support is required. Chargers and accessories should be easily available in market ..in case my original ones get kaput. For example HP acessories r easily available anywhere in india but i have heard that HP laptops heat up a lot..
Want something which is hackable and have communitu support. if u see bios of all laptops then u havw very less options. i am not saying that i am planning to overclock but i like my options.
Enthusiasts from groups and flash with unlocked bios.
In the last i know all these options and features r not possible. SO i am open for trade offs. plz help me in choosing a goof lappy.
I am adventourous type and open to do stuff like flashinf new firmware etc. Provided a well weitten guide is aavailable on net.[DOUBLEPOST=1408884384][/DOUBLEPOST]Will buy a external blu ray writer ang external harddisk.
Hackintosh and linux support required. Can relax gaming requirements a little bit. Atleast will be able to play a year old games.
