A friend of mine is selling his acer inspire 3002 (3002lci) For 15k, From whatever I heard, acer has stopped production of this model. I asked the acer mall guys and were quoting 25k for it. What would you guys recomend? If I am going for a new laptop, My budjet is max 35k.. Want to install visio, Surf the net and play some games... I am really confused:S so any help would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Get the Acer 2424 model with Intel Celeron 1.6 Ghz processor, 14.1" widescreen, 40 Gb hdd, combo drive etc. for abt 30k with bill and warranty.

Thanks a lot for the reply, I am looking forward to buy a compaq tommorrw with the below mentioned specs, Please advise if I am getting a good deal?

He is asking for 34567 and will give 512 ram extra+128mb pen drive and a bluetooth dongle and a reliance usb data card worth 6500 and off-course the carry case

M 2512 AU(Sempron3000+ @ 1.8Ghz/ 256DDR/ 40GB/ Combo/ 15"XGA/ Wi Fi/ 2USB2.0/ DOS)

Help required urgently Please......................

I wouldnt advise you on that model as it is outdated and it is a bit slow. It also heats up a lot. Either go for Compaqs other series with Intel Celeron M processors or for Acer laptops.

^^The performance isnt that bad, and its very good value. A celeron D processor of today is just the pentium M processor of yesterday.

celeron M is actually very close to the performance of a Pentium M cpu. Barely 5-10% difference in the performance in all benchmarks.

The only thing it lacks is the speed step technology.

Thanks a lot for all the replies team, I bought the compaq(specs mentioned above) with 1 g.b ram, Can run nfs underground with the highest resolution and all the features enabled to the maximum.. No overheating issues as of now, What can I say i am happy, Waiting to get the free reliance data card.. Any opinions about it???

And pardon my ignorance, What is speed step technology??
