Summer is upon us.With no AC in my room as of now and with my room temperature hitting 35---40 degrees during the day and about 27--30 degrees at night i need to keep my laptop cool.
not that it ever over heats but does it make sense buying a notebook cooler?
i saw some coolermaster and belkin coolers on ebay from 1000rs to 1500rs.
is it worth the money?
 
Well I am using Belkin F5L025qe and i find it nice and atleast reduce 5 degree or so so i find it worth and using it from last 1 year. It slight expensive but it works good
 
Buy a pad in which the fans correspond with your air intakes, otherwise no point..

I have a infinite working with my Toshiba X205 and it has absolutely no effect, well next to none.. barely 2 degrees lower on load..

I am using the same cooler and it is really effiective and silent cooler pad. I bought it for 1K during local IT exihibition
 
There is a model by cooler master (I forgot the name) which has a lot of holes on its base and the fans are detachable/movable, so you can move them to match your laptop's vents. I have the same and its working great (actually it works good even without the fans because of the increased air flow in the base because of the holes and aluminium body.

Which Cooler Should I Buy Now??

my laptop hardly heats up but as i said its hot as hell in my room bcoz of the summer - is it really necessary to buy a laptop cooler?

I ordered the Coolermaster Notepal X 2 which comes with a 140mm fan and i tested it at a coolermaster distributor now--it reduces the temperature by 8-10 degrees in 15 mins the western digital hdd in my laptop came down from 40 degrees to 34 degrees in no time and the cpu came down to 39-41 degrees from 52 degrees and the overall system temp came down from 48 degrees to 41 degrees.
I am happy with its build quality -- it is sturdy and will withstand drops pretty well. i will post a mini review sooon with pictures. it cost me 1375rs. with 1 year warranty.
i can also remove the 140mm coolermaster fan and replace it with any good 140mm fan---i have a 140mm coolermaster blademaster lying around will test it with that to find temperature difference.
