Windows Laptop driver update query

Level N
I want to update my laptops driver to the latest but manufacturers website still shows drivers from yr 2018.

Looking to update:
  • Realtek High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver
  • Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver - Braswell (Windows 10 v1709)
  • Intel Bluetooth Driver
If I head to Intel or Realteks website to download drivers, will the generic aio installer work fine or do I need to stick to brands old age drivers itself.

I know with win10 we dont have to manually update but still I need to do it manually myself hence the query.

He apparently has the 13-u105tu variant of the HP Pavilion x360.

  • For Realtek Audio, there is no officially available universal UAD/DCH distribution. You may opt for something like this, but you'll lose all special audio enhancements (for example, B&O PLAY on your model).
  • Your model comes with the Intel HD Graphics 620 chip, so the latest driver is always available here.
  • Regarding Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the laptop either ships with Intel Wireless-AC 7265 or Wireless-AC 3165. Grab the latest Bluetooth driver from here and the Wi-Fi driver from here.

Thats was a neat sixer Tito, Thanks!

Also, whats this:

  1. HP Consumer Desktop/Notebook PC ME Firmware Update (whats exactly does it upgrade)
  2. HP FHD Touchscreen Controller Firmware Update
Lastly, can any of these firmware be downgraded if required?

@nRiTeCh

The first one is the firmware update for the Intel Management Engine. Such updates are usually one way, which means you can't easily downgrade to an older ME build using the software flasher.

The second one - as the name suggests - is the firmware update for the touchscreen controller. Downgrading is usually possible, although the complexity depends on the actual OEM.

Dell has SupportAssist, ThinkPad has SystemUpdate.
These programs auto detect drivers on laptop and download latest and compatible drivers automatically.

Check if HP has such program, that's easy and safe way.
And I don't think so all firmwares give option to rollback to previous versions
