Laptops Laptop for 40-45k?

Guys,

I want to buy laptop and my requirements are..

Budget - 40-45K.
I will use it for internet, music, movies, light gaming.
I want to get 15'' screen as i dont need 17'' incher and do not want to compromise in 12''.
Weight - No problem.
Brand - Will prefer Compaq or dell.
Battery life - 2 hours max.
I would prefer to get non-widescreen or else widescreen will do.
Hdd - 160Gb min.
Ram - 2Gb.

How is Hp pavilion dv6703TX ?
Please suggest me 2-3 models so i can compare and check.

Will i will be able to check dell laptops at Croma ?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Mugen.

The ideal product for you would be the Dell Inspiron 1525. Fits all your budget and needs exactly. Just that it is widescreen like most other notebooks these days.

What is the difference between 1520 and 1525 ?
What is difference between Regular, Truelife and Ultrasharp ?

1520 has been replaced by the newer 1525 which doesnt have option for discrete graphics. Since you dont require discrete graphics (judging from your needs) you should go in for Inspiron 1525.

Regular - Matte-screen LCDs

Trulife - Glossy LCDs

Ultra-sharp - Better resolution Glossy LCDs

Regular LCDs work well under all light conditions and are most suited for well-lit atmosphere as glossy lcds have a lot of reflection and are suited better for dark. However the glossy ones have better contrast and colours and are great for watching movies in the low-light.

I have streched my budget to 60k. Now suggest me which one should i go for ?

i am confused with two models.

Option 1

Hp Dv9704tx for 60k.

7250/2gbram/17'' screen/Nvidia 512mb 8600 gs/altec lansing speakers/250gb hdd.

Or option 2

Dell Xps 1530 customized for 59k.

7250/2gbram/15'' screen/nvidia 256mb 8600gt/160gb hdd.

7250 not worth that 5k u are spending if u are using the laptop for only internet and music. its was only 2k for the upgrade b4.. the last week only they increased the price for the upgrade to 5k..

wait for some time and ull get he 7250 as the default option.. :)

dont know.. may be they are trying to sell all the 5250 based models now..
wait till feb first week and may be they will stop the 5250 option and give the 7250 as the default option.

( have read some where that january is the time for stock clearance sale for dell.. but nothing like that is happening in india i think.. )

Update -

Talked with dell representative and I got a quote of 53604 Rs for Dell XPS 1530 with customized setup.

Should i go ahead ? or wait till 1st week of feb ?

Should i go for 3 year warranty with complete cover ?
