hi guy,
I'm going to be buying a dozen laptops for my office. We do android development, so CPU is important. 8GB ram should be good enough for us. HD/QHD screens are unimportant ... and dont need a graphics card.
SSD is also a must - though we are open to buying our own.
We are looking to spend about 60k or so. It seems that the best laptop in this range is the macbook. We would love to see something cheaper and with better warranty.. plus we usually run linux.
One of the tradeoffs that we have identified is to buy a 256gb ssd at 5-7k .. that changes our effective laptop price to about 52k.
Add another 5K for warranty extension - and now we are 47k.
so 47k is what we are looking as the effective price range for this laptop
any suggestions ? we have been looking at the ux305... but it seems to be too expensive. Also the yoga 500.
P.S. Is the macbook ending up to be the best VFM at that range ?
