Laptop for around 30k

I'm looking to purchase laptop .

What's your Budget?
Around 30k ( max 33k)

What size and weight considerations do you have?
15"

What will be your primary usage for the notebook be?
PhotoShop , Dreamviewer , Web , HD movies , Games (Only Counter Strike :ohyeah: )

Any brand that you prefer, or any brand that you detest?
I dont know which brands are better and which have issues (overheating etc) . Please enlighten.

Any other considerations?
I haven't owned any laptop earlier , this will be my 1st one.I'm going to use this laptop for next 3-4 years.
I've have seen some i3 and i5 laptop model recommendations in other threads.

Will there be any major performance different between i3 and i5 considering my usage?

Also,can the ram be upgraded in a laptop ?

Yes RAM can be upgraded in laptops. so no worries.

Same model with Core i5 2410M costs ~30k-31k.

If you want metallic build you can go for the Lenovo Z570. The Core i3 2310M costs ~31k and the i5 version costs 34.4k.
 
Update : I need to install Visual studio , SQL server and few other softwares too. Also , it will be better if the laptop has 1gb gfx. Can some one suggest me new model ??

1.The problem is that there is no extended warranty option in this notebook(other Asus notebook have it on upper right corner). Is there something fishy with this deal :huh:

2.Can I get extended warranty on this notebook from Asus Service centre and at what cost ?

3.I does not include backpack(minor problem)

I Don do graphics intensive work a lot .. watching hd movies may be.And some viseo editing. but i want a system that is stable. Generally its switched on 24*7 and my previous laptop died of heating issue!!

Slightly biased towards sammy.. but if i add 2k for 2gb ram all of them costs more or less same 28k net.

Please suggest :-)

Any particular reason for not picking sammy other than the old i3 processor i3 380m.

Yes sony vaio looks promising with the extended warranty and all...any idea how much will it cost for upgrading the ram in sony? 2gb/4gb.. Should we go to the dealer for the same or can we do it ourselves without affecting warranty?

I got black color (its not listed in website)

It comes with Intel Core i3-2330M Processor, Genuine Windows 7 Home Basic and NVIDIA GeForce 410M GPU 512MB DDR3. Good for watching HD movies.

But RAM is only 2GB (upgradeable).

Never had any problems with buying from Lammy Road :)

Bought my Laptop, External HDD, External DVD RW Drive etc., from there

The laptops are seal packed, so are all the other accessories.
