Looking for a laptop for my sister, for basic office tasks, and some design, graphics work.

also, shouldn't be to heavy as she will have to commute a lot.

Budget: 25-30k

would like a 15 incher HD screen..

would like suggestions for the rest of the config

A budget would have helped. Consider the DELL Inspiron 15 or ACER 5740

hmm are you sure? the Inspiron 15, on the webstite is supposed to come with a Dell 1397 wifi card.. that is a g card..

also, how are the MSI laptops in this price range?

Well, that is for the base model I guess. You can always customize to n mini card. Look here : Dell Inspiron 15 Laptop Details | Dell India

In the Tech Spec tab, you can find that there are options for DELL/Intel n WiFi card.

And a I said, ACER 5740 is also available with n WiFi.

i own a msi cr400x and @ 27k it is light and has powerful nvidia 8200m card, a core 2 duo processor --you get the t6xxx cpu as well as p8xxx cpu .the laptop has a weight of 2kg with the 6 battery - it is lighter than most equally powered notebooks the battery life is good @ 3hours 34 mins and may go higher if u use it sparingly.

all in all an excellent buy as it has 2 years of warranty and the build quality and components used are top notch. read my review of the msi cr400x in the reviews section.
