Hi Guys, I need a laptop for my dad(62yrs) for everyday use. Please assist in selecting a laptop.
- What's your Budget? less than 40k
- What will be your primary usage for the notebook be? Web surfing/documentation/movies at times
- What size and weight considerations do you have? (e.g. Do you want a 17" desktop replacement or you want an ultraportable 12" or something in between) around 15 inch and as light as possible
- Any brand that you prefer, or any brand that you detest? (e.g some would prefer to stay away from Acer or Dell) should be able to take some rough handling.
- Any other considerations? (e.g Battery life; Widescreen/non-widescreen; Glossy/Matte screen etc.) This is for my dad, who is retired. His only requirement is checking mail/browse sites/few videos at times. He also travels, so it should be light and have a long battery life. I have mentioned screen size as 15 inch as he has sight and needs things to be bigger for reading.
