Naah, I'll play TF2 :ohyeah:

With whom? online play will be blocked by firewall and LAN gaming would be limited by hardware compatibility. CS 1.6 is the only choice. :bleh:

:) Thanks guys for your replies...I was a bit busy and was unable to follow the thread..

I am going to join IIFT.

Now for the questions that I have.

1. Budget is a real issue. As you can see from my sig I have a full purpose desktop that I can take in my second year if I really get the time to game.

So I want something in the least budget.

2. I was prefering dell because my friend is an employee and I can get an employee discount.

3. 50000 is out of the question. I hate loans and I am already taking a large loan for my studies. Do not want to overburden myself.

Forget silly things like playing games or watching hd movies. I am only looking at the study related part.So will a netbook do for presentations etc.

I am not much off a showoff.I do not mind something ugly like the dell vostro if I can get it cheap and it serves my purpose.

So considering the above points can someone suggest some laptops.

Get a cheap 30k Vostro. Skip the netbook. Woefully underpowered for regular MBA use.

@party: All the above points aside, I HAVE seen the Mini. Looks arent everything here. Its got a small battery for one. + the performance of a netbook with a heavy office apps + browsing load pretty much kills it.

Not to mention my college will install their own copy of OS and required Apps on the Unit, so Windows 7 is out.

Like every MBA aspirant you have much to learn about MBA colleges :P I have an IIFT guy sitting right next to me.

Jokes aside, no, for simple reasons of screen size alone I would not recommend a netbook. I dont think you will be comfortable staring at a 10" screen for 10 hours a day. Otherwise for office processing it will suffice. Get a vostro.

^^:) OT if you can decipher your statement I will be highly oblidged..

I am not very street smart I guess..
