Laptop for sister

Hi all,

I need laptop for my younger sister,

its meant for multimedia use.

Movie watching specifically and net browsing.

I have so far decided about amd e350 or some apu based system.

It should have DVD drive for movie watching and HDMI will be added bonus.

I dont want HP as HP may abandon HP personal computing group this month end and I got burnt thrice so far.

I would prefer laptop which has strong build quality and excellent turn around time for repairs.

Do suggest.

Well, the HP dm1 is one of the best, and do not worry, HP will continue support till there is warranty on the product.

Else there is a samsung lappie, but not sure on DVD.
 
Why not something based on 2nd gen Core i3 (2310M) ? You can get Samsung R-series or HP 430/630 under 27k.

Heck, you can get Toshiba Satellite C series under 24k.

^^ It's good. One of my friends purchased it recently. Do remember that it comes with no OS whatsoever.

In the 28+ range, you can get Core i3 + dedicated GPUs too, like the Dell posted above (personally, I would skip on Dell as their build quality has gone to the dogs).
 
If your sister love games like racing action and some RPG so get acer with i5+ 540 gt and 500 gb for 33k or asus with 6470 for 28k at letsbuy :)
 
I agree alek,

dell build quality is not that great.

I found this Toshiba has got just two USB ports.

So its kind of lacking.

No games for my sissy,

She rarely plays solitaire.

So now I must find something which has at least three USB ports and rest same configuration.

Guys show me something great for 25000 Max and should be cash on delivery.

I will install is myself.

That's not concern.

Stop counting how many times I reinstalled windows now.
