Will an 8400GS as available in laptops of most brands be capable of running Half Life 2 in good quality and good framerates ?
What about an X3100 integrated?

HL2 is a pretty flexible games. With a medium settings or with some things on low, you shud manage quite well

Not pretty much I shud say..

Most of my friends've d HP DV series with the 8400GS and I've seen 'em strugglin hard to play FIFA '08...

So u'd be better off with a 8600GS or any other offering...

Consider the DELL XPS with an 8600GO in case u've not bought the lappy...

Have 8400gs was able to play hl2 flawlessly...Dun remember the settings, it looked quite good...

Don worry go ahead n take it, if ur yet to take u shud consider 8600gt, much better card than 8400..
