One of my friend is thinking of buying a DELL Inspiron Laptop.
His doubt is regarding the HDD rpm. He got two options (160 GB)
1. 5400 rpm
2. 7200 rpm
Now i said for desktop i will clearly pick the 7200 rpm (or even more) but for laptops i am clueless. I know 7200 will be fast and all, but here is what i want to know (he wants to know)
1. Will the 8200 rpm heat up more ??
2. Will there be a real noticable difference between the 5400 and 7200, if it is a small diff, he would like to go in for 5400 one.
Rest config:
Core 2 Due T5250 (or one higher version)
2 GB RAM @ 667 Mhz
GMA X3100 (no graphics card)
15.4 Inch display
He wont be playing any games and wants to use vista.
Please tell me which hard disk to get. He is tight on the budget and wants to know if the 5400 will affect the performance too much or not.
