i was wondering whether to buy a laptop or upgrade my pc....
coz pc is outdated for now... cant play much games on it.... so plannin to upgrade to total gaming rig with budget of 25k . was also thinking whether i could get a laptop around 45-50k which supports advanced gaming and has 3d accelerator support. can u guyz tell me whether i should upgrade pc or buy a laptop . Is there any laptop which supports high end gaming in this budget..

hey buddy in ur budget it would very hard even if possible to get a gaming laptop.. plus imho gaming pc's make a lot more sense (not only are they cheaper, they have better specs and laptops are illogical to use for gaming ul drain the battery within an hour, the screen size is small an plus laptop keyboards/touchpad are not designed keeping gaming in mind) thus jus short it down to gaming pc.. as gaming laptops would normally set u back by atleast 60k (xps 1330).

Gaming on a laptop is a miserable experience and only to be considered if you are a very casual gamer. There are gaming laptops but ridiculously priced and the experience is same...i.e. bad. For the same price, you can get a much more powerful desktop.

There is a great deal of reuse with a desktop also.for eg: you can use your old monitor/keyboard/mouse/speakers etc. Also, you can also freely upgrade memory, HDD space and even mobo and proccy when you want.

Just keep these details in mind when you decide.

Dude, if its for moderate/serious gaming, close ur eyes and build a PC or get a PS3.

If its light gaming and u need portability, get a laptop.

thanks a lot for ur suggestion guys.... I have decided to upgrade my pc .Can anyone suggest me a shop @s.p road, bangalore where i can get best price ....

dude i recently bought a dell inspiron 1520 laptop and its really awesome for gaming!i could play games like ut3, nfs most wanted, FEAR, half life 2 etc with all the eye candy turned on!u can buy it at dell's website for around 65k
on the other hand, for PC components u could try ankit computers or golcha, both located at SP road.infact i suggest u choose a config and check out all the shops for their best prices.u could easily end up paying a few thousands more or less depending on the shop u buy from.
