I might have seen posts mention asking for price checks are not allowed, is that right? I need to start a for sale thread?

I want to sell my laptop but wanted to get an idea of the resale value beforehand.

Just post it with whatever price you think is fit and ask people to suggest via DMs in the sale thread itself
