Guide
This is the present configuration of my laptop (HWInfo32)
I will be buying a 2GB laptop RAM module.
My hard disk drive had gone bust some 2 years ago. The guy who repaired it had made a strange comment - "there seems to be something wrong with the RAM. The machine feels sluggish due to some problem with the RAM".
I tested my RAM using the program that comes with the Linux Distros. It detected no problem.
Windows 7 and now even Windows XP seems slow on this laptop.
Is there anything really wrong with the RAM? Or was he bluffing?
Should I throw away the present RAM and install a single 2GB RAM in its place? And maybe use a single RAM but of faster clock speed. Does the RAM clock frequency produce too much of a difference?
When I go to buy the RAM module, what should I say to the shopkeeper?
Give me a "400MHz DDR2 laptop RAM" or "PC2-6400 DDR2 laptop RAM"?[DOUBLEPOST=1374244336][/DOUBLEPOST]Anyone?
