Laptops Laptop RAM needed

A friend needs to buy 4GB x 2 DDR3 1066Mhz laptop RAM modules. He already has 2GB x 2 ones. Any idea if he can get it here in India? Searched ebay and other sites, but can see only a max of 2GB ones.

Did you check with any local vendors? or laptop's manufacturer?

He has a dell lappy(with core i7 i guess), he inquired with dell..but they didnt have it. So was searching if available externally.

4GB RAM modules costs very high.
For example if a 2GB DDRIII Laptop RAM costs 3k then we expect the 4GB to be priced at 6-6.5k~ but a 4GB DDRIII memory stick sells for a whopping 12-13k~
So dont go for 4GB sticks until absolutely necessary. BTW why does he need 8GB RAM for his lappy?

It says its for Apple notebooks and costs a whpping 26.5k~(Price of entry level note book) but then if u need it and wanna know whether it would fir for your lappy PM TheITWares. He is a registered dealer here in TE.
