Hi all,
Bought Asus X53U-SX181D with 2 GB RAM, I have 2 x 2GB 1066mhz spare RAM sticks so was thinking whether I will get better performance by replacing the current 2 GB stick.
The doubt I have is regarding current 2 GB stick, is it 1066mhz or 1333mhz or what?
On cpuz memory tab, the DRAM freq. fluctuates between around 500mhz to 700mhz. The cpuz SPD tab shows ASINT. SSZ302G08-GGNED in slot 2 & google says its DDR3 1600mhz
Laptop specs page says it supports: DDR3 1333/1066(O.C.) MHz SDRAM, 2 GB, 2 x SO-DIMM socket for expansion up to 8 GB SDRAM ASUS - Notebooks- ASUS X53U
Dont know what OC means beside 1066?
So please suggest whether I should go with 2 x 2GB 1066mhz RAM or current 2 GB 1333mhz (assumed) gives better performance?
And if I go with 1066 sticks, should I add both the 1066mhz sticks or leave the current ASINT 1600mhz one & add just one 1066mhz stick?
Thanks in advance
