1. What's your Budget?

50K max.

2. What will be your primary usage for the notebook be?

web surfing/office apps/Casual Gaming

Atleast Core duo / Turion 64 X2. Also if discrete graphics module like the GF Go 7400 is available, then it would be great.

3. What size and weight considerations do you have?

14 / 15 incher. Weight not much of an issue.

4. Any brand that you prefer, or any brand that you detest? (e.g some would prefer to stay away from Acer or Dell)

Compaq/HP/Acer (since the laptop will be bought from Trivandrum)
Dell is also ok.
5. Any other considerations? (e.g Battery life; Widescreen/non-widescreen; Glossy/Matte screen etc.)

Atleast 6 cell battery. no preference on screen size and finish.

Please suggest a good DirectX 9 laptop with atleast Nvidia 7600 GS and above (7800GS, 7900GS). My friend wants to get one with atleast Nvidia 7600GS.
