Laptops Laptop RMA in US from India - Help needed

I had brought a Killernotebooks laptop "Executioner" earlier this year under global warranty. Now it has developed some problems with its LCD.

One pink and one blue line has appeared on the LCD screen in the last week. I immediately contacted the dealer and he asked me to send the laptop to an address in the US. He said that he is unable to send the shipping label to me ,due to the customs hassles involved. But he is willing to reimburse me for the shipping costs to the US.

Could anyone of you who has experience in shipping stuff to/from the US to India guide me here and give me the precise instructions on how to go about shipping my laptop to an address in the US?
I want to avoid any hassles with customs and the like, as much as possible.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Firstly..

since this is a RMA.. i dont think you should have any issues with customs. Since goods being RMA'd are customs exempt.

However, make sure you get all your RMA documentation in place bfore you ship it to them. Also make sure to make a copy of the documents so that you can show em to the customs fellows wen u go to collect it back

wait for de others to post wid more info :)

Thanks sTALKEr. Your reply is much appreciated.

I would also like to know what forms/documents are required to be filled.
I really don't want to make any mistakes here.

contact your lappy guys.. they must be having a RMA form for u lappy.. de one which ur supp to fill up wen sending ur lappy...

fill it out nd keep a copy for yourself. Also keep all receipts you might get from the courier fellows nd all.

incase ur lappy ppl dont have a RMA form, tell them the purpose nd ask them to create a small letter or something for you.. though i dont think u'll need all tht :P.
