Hey guys,
My HP Pavilion DV6 1152tx laptop started behaving weird since few days. When I start something to copy inside HDD itself or from external sources like Pen Drives or DVDs, laptop becomes ultra slow. Even a Chrome web browser runs very slow...

Configuration of my laptop -
OS installed - Windows 7 x64 Genuine (Got with windows Party pack)
Processor - Core 2 Duo T6400
Ram - 2x2GB
HDD - 500GB (5400rpm)
Graphics - ATI Radeon HD 4530..

Can anyone figure out the problem with my laptop?

Scan the laptop for viruses.

make a fresh installation of Windows7 and update it.

Check if the problem persists.

Laptop has no viruses containing..

Also Windows 7 copy is fresh and working great if there are no copying file tasks...

and reinstalling system is my last option btw..

In my sense it should not.
I can say some answers regarding this problem.

1.HDD hasn't enough memory.
2.Several softwares installed or some softwares are not perfectly uninstalled.
3.Data corruption.

Run Defrag to help ensure that data is arranged in the best possible order. Check regularly that the temporary files aren't take more memory on Hard disc and clean them frequently.

What's the size of the page file and where does it reside?

Indexing - is it turned on by default?
