Laptop seldom detects wireless network in vista

Hi All,

Im unsure if any one has faced this problem before. My vista laptop has suddenly stopped detecting the wireless network from my Belkin router which it used to sometime ago from even further distance. The location of the laptop is exactly the same as before....and strangely even If I bring the laptop near the router it fails to detect ( hence it is not a range problem)

The only change that I can mention is that there have been a lot of windows updates. Could drivers be the problem , I rarely take risk with drivers , cuz I have been subjected to a a lot of BSOD because of driver updates.

Try the 11.5.1.2 version driver from intel's download section. Works for all our laptops, provided you have a Intel Wifi NIC.

Also checked the router with another laptop?

Post router & laptop specs in some detail.
