Laptops laptop shuts down on its own . bluescreen at times. Help

I have a 2 year old Acer laptop which i primarily use for downloading torrents. and thus leave it on for the whole night at times. of late when i wake up in the morn i find that it is shut down on its own although the battery n power lights are always on. the comp refuses to show the desktop. So i have to press dwon the poer button, switch it off and restart the comp again. a message " the comp has recovered from a serious system error" appears. i have a blu screen also a few times. ANy idea what could be the problem. thanks

change the settings from the power control options, ur notebook just goes off to sleep after some times or it hibernates..

change the power settings....

or maybe it is the heat.just make sure u keep it cool.this was what was happening on my 8 year old lappy.soln I just removed the keyboard thus exposing the internals of the machine and now it works fine.basically use it as a downloading rig.just check the heat factor out.

It may be heat. See if its getting too hot.
