As the title says my laptop Sony vaio CB15 reaches a temperature of 90 degrees while playing games....
also the fan makes noise while gaming....

is it normal??
should i worry??
and the lappy has vents at its left side, so i don't know if cooling pads will be effective

open your laptop and clean the accumulated dust.

i have never opened up my laptop.... but i am also 70% sure that it might be the reason because i never keep it inside, its lying on the table even when someone is cleaning the room....

My XPS 15 reaches 96 on Gaming.. No worries..

As long as it wont shutdown by itself, you are safe

mine also creates noise....

but it wasnt the case sometime back....it all started happening a few days back

Don't worry its fine. My Dell Studio 15 laptop is working fine for 3 years and it gets so hot even with normal use (movies, surfing etc)

These things can withstand high temps. And they will automatically shutdown if temps are high enough to harm.

The same thing happened. But got hot enough to auto shut down. Endded up extending my warranty and getting the whole heat sink replaced. Runs very cool now. Am planning to get it cleaned every 3 or 4 months by calling them or getting the heat sink replaced :D
