Laptops Laptop turns off during game play

Hi guys,

I have Lenovo G550 laptop with Intel C2D T6600 processor, 3GB RAM,Windows 7 OS and NVIDIA GEFORCE 210M GPU. From the last fifteen days,during the gameplay the laptop turns off after 10-15 minutes.

These I am playing Crysis 2 , NFS Shift 2 Unleashed, Mass Effect 2.

What can be the problem?
 
The issue can be due to excessive heating.Does the laptop shut down during normal usage ?,if it doesn't then it is confirmed that the laptop is getting overheated during game play.Try getting some kind of laptop cooler
 
Excessive heating is the most probably cause. Happens with me even in normal operations when my laptop is put on sofa or cushioned chair. Yesterday only my laptop shutdown without any warning an d on touching the bottom it was super hot.
 
This is definitely due to overheat. as it is summer and there games are pretty heavy on the system which produces more heat, try using a laptop cooler
 
Its an Overheating problem..

Clean the laptop from inside(As Suggested by RS4) and then I recommend you buy a Laptop Cooler

Go for CoolerMaster Notepal Infinite. Its great.

If possible, re-apply the thermal paste
