Consider the Thinkpad x220 with more than 12 hours of battery with a 9 cell battery or up to 9 hours with a 6 cell battery. The Thinkpad x120e @ Rs.17k on Sulekha.com will give you up to 6 hours of battery life.
 
Look at Samsung. I checked out a couple of models at their showroom, and they really give you bang for your buck. Will give you great battery life too. Of course the Thinkpad x220 kicks their ass, but it's also twice the price (literally). If you can afford the x220, go for it with your eyes closed. But if you are on a budget, check out Samsung.

The screen on the x120e is 11.6" but the resolution is good at 1366x768 & the keyboard is the Thinkpad one

The X120e will give you 5-6 hours of battery.

else most of the other 12" laptops normally fall in the premium ultraportable category & you will have to shell out a price closer to your upper range of 35k or even more.
 
Hey pals thanks for the posts and i bought after alot more u can say not at all-thinking Bought Dell XPS 15

Prize tag:- 65k will get 9 cell battery after a year so wil have extra backup as on for 4-5 months m nt gona travel much after that will be traveling alot.

Prize tag:- 65k will get 9 cell battery after a year so wil have extra backup as on for 4-5 months m nt gona travel much after that will be traveling alot.

Not that particular post,o.p seems to had no idea what he was looking for.

Who in this world buy a xps15 (even with 9cell battery)for battery life?
 
In case anyone else is looking for something similar, Samsung seems to have just released a new model in their 3 series: np350u2b-a0ain. I saw it in Nehru Place and it's awesome. Super light and great specs - Core i5, 4GB RAM, 1TB hdd, 8+ hours battery life, 12.5" screen. Price is still iffy, but most quotes ranged around 37.5K. Am most probably buying it. Sadly none of the online retailers even have it listed. But considering that the best price I could find on the a08in (Ci3, 4GB, 500GB) was 31K, 37K doesn't seem to be too bad a price for getting a Ci5 and 1TB hdd - of course it's another thing that I don't need either of them!

I know about this first hand - I went to buy the moto defy and came home with the hp dm1z.

Anyways our suggestions were wasted but congrats on the laptop.
 
Somethings Changed My Mind. Hence i got the Dell.

Was jst thinking to buy normal laptop was gona go for samsung laptops (good build quality and pricing excellent )

Actully i was thinking to spend around 90k on same laptop with blueray and 9cell battery bt it gona take 7 dayz to delivery and was jst in mumbai for 2 dayz saturday and sunday

and was sitting in office call up my vendor and asked price of all the things was thinking to buy xps 14 bt then.. like 15k extra i7 then was like ki pherak penda hai 15k se so bought xps15 btw actully by mistakely bought the laptop
