I have to purchase around 10-15 laptops for my company. The laptops will mostly be used in the office itself and not taken out much. Need a decent configuration that will be able to handle Vista and with all the usual features. Nothing really extravagant required. Need good warranty and support though.

I was looking at the Inspiron 15" from Dell. Any other suggestions? Also what will be the ideal screen size that I should opt for? 15" is decent I guess but I am a bit confused here.

And does anybody know about any dealer/company that offers good prices for bulk purchases?

Thanks in advance :)

15" are more than enuf , please dont buy compaq / hp's lotsa of ASS issues with them.....we have 4-5 compaqs at work and all have some or the other issue.....stick to dells......PM our dealers they could give u excellent prices , afaik amarbir was quoting the least for some dell deals...contact him.

In our office we have had only Dell laptops, and I can say their service is very good. We have had no issues with Dell any time. For Vista at least a Dual Core processor and 2 GB of RAM is recommended.

Inspirons if the laptops are going to be used as desktop replacements. Thinkpad or Dell Latitudes if your employees plan on going out and about.

Yes the laptops will be used as desktop replacements. So Inspirons are the best then I guess?
