Hi all, what are large pages on Windows versions like 7,8,10 etc..
When we type on search option edit local policy
a new window opens i.e. Local Security Policy
under the tab local policies i.e user right assignment
There is an option i.e. to lock pages in memory..
i want to know what is the use of this option in windows and how we can check whether they are working or not? Thanks

If you enable this option, then the data used by this account will not be moved to virtual memory. It will be kept on RAM only.

It won't do anything useful on your PC. This option is mainly for servers and shared systems such as in corporate environment.s

Does it help in gaming, or while playing video games etc.? How we can check them whether this option is working or not in windows 7..? tq

No, it doesn't. While gaming, the game you're running is active process. There's no reason to move resources required for active process to page file.

I think it is just for the files or pages which are shared in public domain or folder using networking , does it has affect in print quality etc. as in corporate world the printers or other peripherals are generally shared using networking. And what is print spooler service when we enter services.msc command in run, tq .
