Err what app will actually use 8GB . All games are 32bit and limited to 4gigs. Do you do any rendering? Thats the only app which will use more than 4 gigs happily.

I too have no idea what will consume the full 8GB of mem , i have never even seen my current 4GB getting filled upto 50% for any app usage.
