anyways if u can hold for some time vandal .....

EVIL is coming to india ..... if u know wat i mean ;)

Would you guys say EVGA is inferior to OCZ? Are these both the most dependable brands? So these two are better than ASUS, Gigabyte etc etc? I mean quality wise of course. They also OC better?

I've already chosen EVGA mainly cause of RiO and Deepak, so this is purely for information.

@ rahul EVIL? evil VGA?

We have to keep in mind that OCZ is new to the video market, and the 8800GTX is the only OCZ branded card. However, they are handpicked cards so overclocking results are more consistent - oh, I get lifetime warranty too but no step-up program like eVGA ;)

I went with OCZ this time only after talking to one of their employees who shared some overclocking results of his 8800GTX - after seeing others with the same card also have similar results, I'm convinced I made the right decision.

^would EVGA also be handpicked? what about foxconn. They are supposed to be one of the largest OEM's around, and IINM (if I'm not mistaken) also make PCB's for the G80.
For memory I went with 4 GB of OCZ platinum 1066. Good choice? They're supposed to be D9's

Have you OC'ed the card rio? What sort of a temperature difference can I expect with an HR03 plus and AS5 if at all?

here's a linky to the page for other members so they can see what the fuss was about:
Newegg.com - Buy Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

eVGA doesn't claim they're handpicked, so they're probably not - but it's clear they put them through rigorous testing. And yes, all OCZ platinum memory is Micron D9GMH.

thanks for that...

I disagree, eVGA has built a brand that is hard to rival - if MSI and others followed the same rigorous testing as eVGA, wouldn't they be in the same league? ;) This time I went with an OCZ after chatting with one of their employees on XS, who confirmed their cards are handpicked.

And I went with a OCZ because RiO went with one.... peer advice is always a big factor.
