Lately lots of 'aw snaps' with Chrome, what to do?

This has happened all of a sudden and I did not install any new extension on Chrome or new software in my machine.

Here is what I did to troubleshoot:
- disabled anti virus / fire wall
- ran disk health check up
- disabled all extensions
- disabled all default chrome plugins

nothing seems to work. I haven't tried re-installing as I don't want to lose my browser history. Does re-installing would help? If yes, how do I retain everything?

any help appreciated.
 
Did you open too many tabs..? This happened to me recently when I had opened many tabs simultaneously. I also believe this could be due to slow internet connection. Could be either or both.
 
:( Not sure then. My problem seemed to resolve by itself. You could try creating a new user profile. Chrome settings > Users
You could use your gmail account to sync browsing history

Yes. You won't be losing anything if you do this: Sign in to your gmail id from chrome and sync everything. Then create a new profile and try it out. You can delete the old user profile. From your new user profile, sign in to the same gmail id, and sync everything, and all your data is restored.
 
okay I tried with new profile, still I get aw snaps. Reinstalled chrome and still I was getting the same error. Then I removed all the google related files from my machine and then installed again. Now there seems to be no problem! (hopefully)
