Lava is prepping four new smartphones for the Indian market, and all of these new smartphones will feature a quad core chipset. Up until now, we have been hearing of only one of the four. Dubbed the Lava Q800, the Q800 aims to be the mid-range quad core offering, or at least that's what it looks like with it's complete specifications now leaked. Read on.

From the first look, the Lava Q800 doesn't look all that different from their previously launched Lava A800 smartphone. What's new is the 1.2 GHz quad core chipset, increased 1 GB of RAM, a better 1.2 MP front camera and the big 2,100 mAh battery. Oh, and how could we miss out, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. All these make a pretty complete package.

It all boils down to the pricing of the phone. We expect it to launch between Rs. 11,000 to Rs. 13,000 which would place it at a comfortable position compared to other industry offerings such as the Micromax A116 Canvas HD.
