Monitors LCD monitor in the range 8k-10k

Hi,
i would like to buy a new LCD monitor. i am currently using a black colour 17 inch CRT monitor(samsung). how much will i get for this monitor? If i buy a 19 inch LCD monitor will my gfx card supports this without any problem(i am having 8600 GT 512 DDR3)?
need ur opinions. one more thing, i am very tight in my budget. the range i mentioned is including the amount i get after selling the current monitor.

IINM, the Dell 19 incher S1909W retails for ~7-7.2k (Delhi pricing). The 8600GT should've no problems with 19inchers. :)

No, they're different. The S1909W is the newer model. The E/SE198WFP have been here for a while.

Besides he's on a 8600GT. He's better off with a 19incher. ;)
 
Dell monitors are not avilable in my city(i am from trivandrum, kerala). The available brands are ACER,LG,SamSung,Viewsonic and AOC. Among these which one i should have to buy? please help guys.

Did u try sending them a quotation? IINM Rockfella, here hpnd to get Dell deals. PM him and find out.

Ask logtech. they had some dell monitors last time i went there.. but they were 17'' ones. they may have 19'' now.. not sure..

also, most of the shops here in trivandrum will encourage you to buy LG, acer or AOC brands only.. if we ask abt samsung or dell, they will say some crappy reasons like lots of complaints are coming for them, bad service etc..
 
One of TE member has good experience with Samsung 22" S2233 SW Full HD for Movie ONLY & refuse to mark POSITIVE for OTHER uses.

I always prefer a product which has there on shelves from more than 6 months as by that time you start receiving comparison & user reviews & H/W market report too. :)

I asked them. They don't have any dell monitors.
 
With an 8600GT I suggest you stick with a 19" monitor only. 22" will be too much for the card to handle (when playing games).

i am also planning for the 19''. But 2033SW is 20''. Will that make any problem with my gfx card.
