Have tried connecting X360 via VGA HD cable to Samsung LCD and all i get is a blank screen. Tried resetting the video settings by holding down Y + right trigger but with no audio. dunno if its working or not.....no video is the result still.

Anyone faced this prob or know any workaround for this?

I faced same problem two days back when I tried to connect Component HD AV cable to my LCD. Y + right trigger did'nt worked for me. So I had to do it manually (w/o display!)

So, switch on console. You should be on My Xbox pane, Keep scrolling towards right(Till you stop hearing that click click sound) You should be now at system settings Press x, now you are in console settings press x again now you are at display settings press x & now you are at HDTV settings press x and scroll down three times and press x again. It will reset the display to that particular setting.

This woked for me, dunno if there is any other way. For some strange reasons Pressing Y + holding right trigger certainly didn't worked for me.

Thanx for the quick help bro....but, i have no audio too.....the toslink is with my cousin for now.I tried like u mentioned

Scrolling to the right for sometime, press X button 4 times, scroll down 3 times and one more X.

Is there some indication that the console is resetting the display settings like blinking Green light or similar?

...(It will say "Your display settings has changed, do you want to keep new settings"). scroll up once and press X again.

You want audio from LCD itself or Z-5500? To use Z-5500's via toslink with your X360 you need HDMI AV Cable.

AFAIK not all XBOX 360's have HDMI ?? am i correct ?

Yes, All models manufactured after August 1 2008 come with a HDMI output. Though MS has been giving HDMI output with certain older models as well.

hmm, tough luck it seems....tried exactly as u said but to no avail bro.Did u have to rename ur source or something in the TV ?
